  • I am fifty years old and bought my first Volvo (a 445) when I was sixteen. I have been smitten with them ever since, having worked for Volvo thirteen years and for the past four years started a company reconditioning and selling used Volvos(Village Motorcars) I like your site very much. It is very informative and refreshing. Like a Volvo, it also feels good.

  • Nice site. Lots of info. I have always loved Volvos. I am considering buying my first soon. I have found a 1986 740GLE at a good rice. I like the older models much better. I haven't quiet taken to the "fancy" new models. Thanks for all the usefu;l info. I will be back at this site.

  • I have never owened a Volvo until now
    having just bought a 340DL 1986 for £350
    in mint condition.
She has already been round the clock once
and at this time reads 15697 miles.
Why did I leave it so long to get one?.
    What a great car.

  • I was smitten young when my parents bought a new '71 145S wagon. Like the family pet that lives forever, that Volvo wagon stayed there throughout my childhood. Eventually, I bought a 63 122S as my fisrt car. I have owned several classic Volvos since then. I haven't quite warmed to the newer Volvos, a '73 145E being my 'newest' one so far.

  • Great site. I have a 1984 245 Turbo that I bought new. It now has 304,000 miles and other than replacing the turbo at 150,000 nothing has been done to the engine or transmission (4 speed). I have done 1000f all maintenance on it since new. Dealing with major rust issues now - New England winters are not easy on these bricks.
